Fun
& Games yes indeed, that is what it was! The participants drew coloured
ribbons from an envelope and were divided into four teams, Blue, Red, Green and
Yellow. The format was ten games
consisting of a Word game, Pictionary, Charades, Memory Game, Clay modelling,
Car Quiz, Music Quiz, 30 Seconds, Taste &Smell &Touch Game, and an Activity
Game.
Those
were the games and the absolute fun was provided by the participants. The
winners were the Yellow Team with a narrow one point win over the Green Team,
followed by the Blue Team and in last place the Red Team. It must be noted that
the Red Team were a player short and battled on gamely, thanks Reds for your
gamesmanship despite being a player short .
The final score looked like this:

The
venue at Reading Country Club was fantastic, thanks to Chris van der Merwe for
arranging the venue – much appreciated.
Reading provided an excellent meal and was enjoyed by all. We also had a visiting couple from the Triumph
Club, and they were visibly impressed by the camaraderie and gamesmanship
within the MX5 Club. As has been the case over the last few weeks, we were in
for a heavy downpour, and thus we waited for the deluge to end. The next round
of fun & games started as we tried to take the cars over the river like
exit. The MX5`s performed gamely and would have been up to the challenge of
most 4x4`s.
