Angela`s Picnic on Sunday 6th April. Really could not have wished for better weather, although a bit overcast and windy early in the morning soon turned into a lovely autumn’s day.
Well done SAMCA for yet another well organised and worthy day, the proceeds of which are given to Hospice. There was an excellent turn-out, one of the best I have ever witnessed in many years. There were some many cars on display ,that it was difficult to view every car there. They were all there, clean and sparkling, from the little Messerschmitt , VW Splitties and beetles ,Mini`s MGs, to the Bentleys and Rolls Royce to the supercars. Some Vintage and some Modern. Definitely something for everyone to see. A bit on the down side, although Delta Park is a designated fire free zone, there were a few people who still insist on having open braai fires, close to all these beautiful and probably irreplaceable cars.
Thanks to our Mazda MX5 members who arrived and displayed the support against Cancer, proudly displaying their Lilac ribbons in support.
The MX5 club had a Mad Hatters theme and we had some really imaginative hats in our “Mad Hatters Competition “, but ultimately it was Michelle and Scott who prevailed. Well done you two!
Thanks to Carin for creating some cute Bunnies with Easter Eggs for our members - they were much appreciated.
Here are just a few pics of the day -
