MX5 Valentine Run to Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens

After some very hot weather, we all met on a slightly overcast morning to go to the Walter Sisulu Botatnical Gardens for a Valentine’s Picnic. The members met up at Linksfield and the BP Oasis in Beyers Naude, and then all travelled together to the Gardens. When we arrived at the gardens Annatjie and Chris had reserved a spot for us under the trees. Once we had all unpacked our chairs and blankets etc, some of the members had some time to explore the gardens, and others just relaxed and chatted amongst themselves. At about 12h00 we all gathered together and received wonderful picnic hampers from the club. The hampers were cooler bags and contained some scrumptious food – once again thanks to Carin, Annatjie and Rod for all the hard work involved in creating these yummy hampers. After lunch the members had some time to explore the gardens again and take some creative and beautiful photos for the “Photo Competition”, before we all headed off home. Once again a wonderful outing with our fellow MX5’ers.

Here are a few images from the day.

The winning photo will be posted on the blog once the judging has taken place.

Until next time … happy driving 
